SEO consultant work: diagnosis before delivery

As an SEO consultant, the first thing I owe you is an honest read of the situation. Sometimes the answer is a technical fix that takes a week. Sometimes it’s that your best pages are competing with each other and need consolidating. Occasionally it’s that SEO isn’t your constraint at all, and I’ll tell you that too.

Consulting engagements suit teams that have a developer and a content person already, and need someone to decide what those people should be doing and in what order.

Freelance SEO specialist: you work with me directly

There’s no account manager relaying messages, and no junior running a scan on your site. I do the diagnosis, write the recommendations, and—when implementation is in scope—work directly on the changes.

That means a smaller number of clients at a time, and it means you can ask me why a recommendation exists and get a real answer about your specific site.

  • Technical SEO audits and implementation
  • Local SEO for businesses serving a city or region
  • Off-page SEO, relevant citations, and authority-building work
  • On-page optimization and content structure
  • Core Web Vitals and page-experience work
  • Site migrations and post-migration recovery checks
  • Ongoing SEO retainers where there’s genuinely ongoing work

How engagements usually run

Almost everything starts with an audit, because acting before diagnosing is how budgets get wasted. From there it’s either a fixed scope of implementation work, or a retainer if the site needs continuous attention.

You’ll always know what I’m working on, what it’s meant to change, and how we’ll know whether it worked.

Questions about how this works.

Who handles the consulting work?

I handle the investigation, recommendations, and agreed implementation directly. There is no handoff between an account manager and the person responsible for the SEO decisions.

How long before results show?

Technical fixes can change crawling and indexing within weeks. Ranking and traffic changes usually take longer, and depend on competition, site history, and how much content work is needed. I’d rather set that expectation honestly up front than promise a date I can’t control.

Do you work with clients outside Pakistan?

Yes. I’m based in Pakistan and work with businesses in the UK and other international markets, including local SEO for businesses serving a specific city or region.

What kind of sites do you work on?

Mostly WordPress and custom-built business sites, plus SaaS and content-heavy sites. The work is the same in principle: make the site crawlable, understandable, and worth ranking.

A clearer first step

If search feels stuck, start with the evidence.

Send the URL, the business context, and the part that is not working. I will use that to understand whether the next step is an audit, a focused fix, or a wider search strategy conversation.
