Free SEO audit: a quick check of one page

Paste an address. The scan checks crawling, on-page content, speed and mobile basics, AI search readiness and trust details, then lists the fixes in order of impact. No signup, and you can download the report as a PDF.

Key takeaway

This free SEO audit is an automated scan of the one page you enter. It reads that page, its robots.txt and its sitemap, then runs over 30 checks in five groups and lists the fixes in order of impact. You can download it as a PDF. It is a first look, not a full audit, and no person reviews it.

What the scan does, step by step

You paste one address into the box above. If you leave out the start, the scan adds https:// for you. A server on this site does the work, not your browser.

  1. Step 01

    Confirm a person sent it

A Cloudflare Turnstile check runs in the background, and each visitor can run 5 scans a minute.

What this finds. Whether the request comes from a person, so bots cannot use the scan to attack other sites.

  2. Step 02

    Check the address

The server makes sure each address is a public website on a normal web port, including every address a redirect leads to. Private network addresses and local test hosts are refused.

What this finds. Whether the address can be scanned at all.

  3. Step 03

Fetch the page and its site files

It requests the page, follows up to 5 redirects, and reads the first 2 MB. It also fetches robots.txt, the sitemap, llms.txt, the http version and the www or non-www version.

What this finds. The raw HTML, the headers, the redirects and how long the server took to answer.

  4. Step 04

Run the checks and sort the fixes

Each check is marked pass, warning, fail or not scored, with what it found and how to fix it.

What this finds. A score out of 100, a score for each group, and a fix list with high impact items first.

Most scans finish in 5 to 20 seconds. Slow servers take longer, and the scan gives up on the page after 10 seconds.

What each check looks for

The checks sit in five groups. Each group has a published weight, and the overall score is the weighted average of the groups.

GroupWeightWhat it checks
Technical and crawling25%HTTPS, the http to https redirect, one preferred www or non-www version, redirect chains, noindex, the canonical tag, robots.txt, the XML sitemap and the page language
On-page and content30%Title of 30 to 60 characters, meta description of 120 to 160 characters, exactly one H1, heading order, at least 300 words, image alt text, internal links, empty links, valid structured data and Open Graph tags
Speed, mobile and accessibility25%Server answer time, HTML size, compression, render blocking scripts, image width and height, the mobile viewport, zoom, and landmark tags such as main and footer
AI search readiness10%Whether robots.txt lets AI search crawlers in, whether the main text arrives without JavaScript, question and answer sections, and llms.txt
Trust and site details10%Links to about, contact, privacy and terms pages, a visible email and phone, social profile links, Organization or Person markup, a copyright line, and WordPress default content on WordPress sites only

Inside a group, a high impact check counts three times as much as a low impact one. A warning counts half. Some checks are shown but not scored: blocking AI training crawlers such as GPTBot is a fair choice, so the scan only reports it.

How to read your score

The score runs from 0 to 100. A score of 90 or more is excellent, 75 to 89 is good, 50 to 74 needs work, and under 50 is critical, which usually means something important blocks the page. If a group cannot be measured, it drops out and the other weights are scaled up, so a missing file never counts as a fail by accident.

A high score means the basics on that one page are in place. It does not mean the page ranks. A score of 100 means every check here passed, not that Google will rank you first. Use the score to spot gaps, then work down the fix list from the top.

The report can be saved three ways: a PDF download, a plain text copy for your developer, or a WhatsApp message to me with the score. The fix lines are general advice, so check each one against your own site before anyone changes code.

What the free SEO audit cannot see

The scan reads one page of HTML from the outside. That leaves a lot out, and it is better to know what before you trust the result.

  • Other pages: it does not crawl your site, so orphan pages, site wide duplicates and broken links elsewhere stay hidden
  • Google's view: it has no access to Google Search Console, so it cannot see indexing, queries or clicks
  • JavaScript: it reads the HTML as sent and does not run scripts, so content added by scripts is not seen
  • Real speed: it times one answer from our server, not Core Web Vitals from real visitors
  • Reputation: it cannot see backlinks, Google reviews or your Business Profile
  • Truth: it shows whether a bio, a policy or a review is there, not whether it is true

For real visitor speed, Google's PageSpeed Insights is the better free tool. For indexing, your own Search Console account is the place to look. If traffic has already dropped, a step by step guide to finding why visits fell covers the checks this scan skips.

What happens to the address you enter

The scan is built to keep as little as possible. The scan code does not save the address you enter, the pages it fetched or your report. The report is sent back to your screen, and it is gone when you leave the page unless you download it.

To stop abuse, the scan uses two locks. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person sent the request, and a rate limit allows 5 scans a minute per visitor. The rate limit counts a scrambled code made from your connection's address, not the address itself. The host keeps the standard request logs every website has. The scan asks for no name, email or phone number.

I do not see your scan or your score. If you press the WhatsApp button under the report, a message with your page address and score opens in WhatsApp, and nothing reaches me until you send it. The privacy page for this site explains how messages are handled.

When the scan fails to load your page

An error does not always mean your site is broken. The common reasons are these:

  • Your server took longer than 10 seconds to answer, or it blocks automated requests. Many security plugins and firewalls do this.
  • The address returned an error code such as 404, or it is a PDF or image rather than a web page.
  • The domain did not resolve, which usually means a typing mistake.
  • The robot check did not finish. Wait a moment and press scan again.
  • You ran more than 5 scans in a minute. Wait a minute and try again.

If a firewall blocks the scan, it may also block other bots you want, including Google or AI search crawlers, so it is worth asking your developer what it blocks.

Notes for sites in Pakistan

Many sites here run on shared hosting, and the server answer check often flags them. Treat that number as a rough guide. It is measured from our server, which may be far from your customers in Lahore or Karachi.

Many WordPress sites built here also load their main text with heavy page builders. If the scan reports a missing H1 that you can see on screen, the heading may be added by a script or styled text rather than a real heading tag. On WordPress sites the scan also checks whether the default "Hello world" post, "Sample page" and "Uncategorized" category are still live, which is common on sites set up in a hurry.

What to do with the results

If the scan finds a missing title, H1, viewport tag or a noindex rule, those are usually quick fixes your developer can make the same day. Run the scan again afterwards to confirm.

If the scan passes but your traffic or enquiries are still weak, the cause is somewhere the scan cannot see. That is the job of my paid audit with a ranked fix list, which reads your Search Console data, crawls every page, and checks each warning by hand. It costs PKR 120,000 one time and takes 7 to 10 business days. If you want a second opinion first, a one hour call to go over your scan costs PKR 15,000.

Two other free tools sit on this site. The AI search checker runs this same scan with the AI checks first. An estimate of monthly SEO cost maps your site to one of the published plans. For deeper crawl and speed work after the scan, see fixing crawl and speed problems.

Frequently asked questions

Is the free SEO audit really free?

Yes. There is no payment, no sign up, and no email needed to see or download the report. The only limit is 5 scans a minute per visitor.

What is a good SEO score?

On this scan, 75 or more means the basics on that page are in place, and 90 or more is excellent. Scores from different tools are worked out in different ways, so a number from one tool cannot be compared with another.

Can I scan a competitor's page?

Yes. Any public page works. Comparing your page with the one that ranks above you is a quick way to spot gaps.

Does Muhammad Usman Ali review my scan?

No. The scan is fully automated and I do not see it. If you want my view, send me the report on WhatsApp and say what worries you.

Can the scan check my whole website?

No. It checks the one address you enter. Run it on your home page and on one page of each main type, such as a service page or a product page.

Why does my page fail a check I know is fine?

Usually because the item is added by JavaScript after the page loads, and the scan reads the HTML before scripts run. A firewall that answers our server differently from a browser can also cause it.

Is the free scan the same as your paid audit?

No. The scan runs automated checks on one page. The paid audit covers the whole site, uses your Search Console data, and every finding is checked by hand before it goes in the report.
