Remote SEO for Karachi

SEO expert in Karachi, working with you by call, WhatsApp and screen share

I work from Pakpattan, so Karachi work runs on calls, WhatsApp, and screen share. I fix branch profiles, block and phase addresses, delivery only kitchens, and supplier websites, and I check each area separately.

How Local Search Works in Karachi

Local note 01

Karachi is spread so wide that a bakery in Bahadurabad and one in Clifton rarely compete for the same customer. Visibility has to be checked area by area, from Saddar to Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

Local note 02

Many addresses rely on a block, a phase or a Khayaban street name, as in Gulshan-e-Iqbal or DHA. The profile should carry those details in full, with the pin on the real door.

Local note 03

A chain with branches in Clifton, on Tariq Road and in North Nazimabad needs one profile per branch, the same name and main category on each, and a number and web page for every branch.

First check I run

The first check I run on a Karachi business, not a published result: are there duplicate or unclaimed profiles for old or closed branches, and does each live branch have its own number and page?

Common Business Types in Karachi

Restaurants, bakeries and home kitchens

Diners search by dish plus area. A delivery only kitchen has to hide its address and set a service area, and Google expects its own branding and website.

Retail chains with several branches

Shoppers on Tariq Road or in Saddar compare branches by distance and opening hours, so each branch needs correct hours, its own number and recent reviews.

Wholesale, industrial and B2B suppliers

Buyers looking for suppliers in Korangi, SITE or Jodia Bazaar tend to compare websites before they call, so product and service pages matter as much as the map.

B2B case, North America and UK

Competing pages merged into one per search

A B2B services firm grew organic clicks by , from 5.7K to 23.3K, comparing the last 3 months with the 3 months before. This firm is not a Pakistani business. I have no published Karachi case yet, so it is the closest result I can show.

Key takeaway

If you are looking for an SEO expert in Karachi, know first that I work from Pakpattan. Karachi work runs on calls, WhatsApp and screen share. I fix branch profiles, block and phase addresses, delivery only kitchens and supplier websites, and I measure each area separately. I have no published Karachi case, and I will not promise a rank.

Who this page is for, and who should skip it

This page is for Karachi owners and managers who are happy to work with someone in another city, as long as the work is clear and the reporting is honest. It suits businesses where the job is mostly on the profile, the listings and the website, which can all be handled remotely.

This is for you if

  • You run a restaurant, bakery, pharmacy or shop with branches in different parts of Karachi.
  • You sell food from a home or shared kitchen and take orders on WhatsApp or through delivery apps.
  • You are a supplier, manufacturer or trader whose buyers search for products before they call.
  • Your branches show up under old names, old numbers or as duplicates, and you are not sure which profile is real.

Skip this if

  • You want a consultant who will visit the shop every month. I am based in Pakpattan, Punjab and do not travel to Karachi for routine work.
  • You want a fixed rank by a fixed date. Google decides local results, and nobody can sell a position.

How I work with a Karachi business from Pakpattan

Remote local SEO works when the owner can show me what a customer sees. So the first week has a set routine, and most of it happens on WhatsApp.

  1. Step 01

    Access without handing over ownership

You add me as a manager on each Google Business Profile and on Search Console. You stay the owner and can remove me at any time.

What this finds. Which profiles you actually control, and which branches have profiles nobody in the business can open.

  2. Step 02

A short video from the road to the door

For each branch, someone records the walk from the main road to the entrance and photographs the sign.

What this finds. Whether the pin, the entrance and the signage match the profile name and address.

  3. Step 03

Search from where your customers are

I use a geo-grid tracker, which runs the same search from many points around each branch, because I cannot stand on the street in Clifton or Gulshan-e-Iqbal myself.

What this finds. Where each branch shows, where it fades, and which rivals sit above it in that area.

  4. Step 04

A screen share through the old listings

We search your old numbers and old names together, while you confirm which locations are open, moved or closed.

What this finds. Duplicate profiles, closed branches still showing as open, and directory pages with a dead number.

  5. Step 05

    A written plan by branch

You get one list of fixes per branch, in order of effect, and one list for the website.

What this finds. What to change first, what needs a decision from you, and what can wait.

After the first week, we speak on a call every two weeks or every month, depending on the plan, and WhatsApp covers the rest. Most owners like seeing a short voice note or screen recording instead of a long report.

Karachi is too large to measure from one point

Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence. In a city as spread out as Karachi, distance is the factor that surprises owners most. A bakery in Bahadurabad and a bakery in Clifton rarely compete for the same customer, because the person searching is close to one and far from the other.

That is why I never report one Karachi rank. A single search from your own shop tells you how you look to people standing at your shop. It says nothing about a customer in North Nazimabad or on Shahrah-e-Faisal. The geo-grid scan shows each area separately, and the report lists them one by one.

It also changes where effort goes. A branch that already shows well around its own block may need nothing more than steady reviews. A branch that fades two streets away usually has a relevance or prominence gap: the wrong primary category, few recent reviews, or a website page that never names the area. Each needs a different fix.

Branches and chains: one profile each, the same rules for all

Many Karachi businesses run several branches, and this is where I find the most confusion. Google's guidelines are clear on the main points. Each location that customers can visit gets one profile. All locations use the same business name, unless a branch is genuinely known by a different name on its sign. All locations that offer the same service share the one category that best describes the business.

Branch problemWhat it looks like in KarachiThe fix
Branch names with the area added"Shop Name Tariq Road" on one profile and "Shop Name" on anotherThe same real name on every branch, with the area shown in the address only
One phone number for all branchesEvery profile rings the head officeA number that reaches each branch where possible, under the business's control
One website page for all branchesEvery profile links to the home pageOne page per branch with its address, hours, map and services
Closed or moved branches still open on MapsA branch that left Saddar still shows its old addressMark it closed or move it, never create a new profile on top
Different main categories per branchOne branch is a "Bakery", another a "Cake shop"One shared main category, with extra ones only where a branch really differs

Google also allows separate profiles for public facing departments that have their own entrance, such as a pharmacy inside a larger store, as long as each has its own name and category. I check those cases one at a time, because a department set up wrongly looks like a duplicate.

When a branch is new, getting it right from day one is cheaper than fixing it later. My page on adding a new branch to Google the right way covers each field. When the branch profiles exist but break the rules, the work is fixing a branch profile that breaks the rules one location at a time.

Block, phase and Khayaban addresses

Karachi addresses often depend on a block, a phase or a Khayaban street name, as in many parts of Gulshan-e-Iqbal and DHA. Customers know these well, and so does Google, but only when the address is entered in full and the pin sits on the right door.

Google's guidelines ask for the real location, allow floor and building numbers, and limit landmarks to places where the street address cannot place the business. So a shop on an upper floor of a commercial building on a main road should list the building and floor in the second address line. A landmark belongs only where the block and street are not enough.

The pin needs its own check. When Google cannot place an address, you can move the pin by hand. I compare the pin with the video of the walk to the door, because the right block with the wrong side of the road still sends a customer the wrong way.

Old addresses are the other problem. Businesses that moved within the city, say from Saddar to PECHS, often leave the old address on directories and listing sites for years. Getting one set of details across every directory removes that doubt for Google and for customers.

Home kitchens and delivery only food brands

Karachi has many food businesses that run from a home or shared kitchen and sell through WhatsApp, Instagram and delivery apps. Google allows these, with conditions.

A delivery only brand has to hide its address and set a service area instead. Google expects it to have distinct branded packaging and its own website. If several brands cook in one kitchen, each needs its own branding, and Google may ask for extra verification. A brand that offers pick up to every customer can show its address, but only with permanent signage of its own at that kitchen.

In practice, this means a home baker in Gulistan-e-Jauhar should not show the house on the map, and should not set a service area that covers all of Sindh. Google says the overall service area should stay within about 2 hours of driving from where the business is based. I set the service area to the parts of the city the rider really reaches.

For these businesses, the website does more work than usual. A simple page with the menu, the delivery areas and a WhatsApp button gives Google something to match, and gives a customer a reason to order directly instead of through an app.

Suppliers, traders and B2B buyers

Not every Karachi business lives on the map. A manufacturer in Korangi or the SITE area, or a wholesale trader in Jodia Bazaar or Bolton Market, often sells to buyers who search for the product, compare a few websites and then call. For them, the map matters less than the website.

The work here is closer to general SEO. Each main product or service gets its own page with the specifications buyers ask about, the minimum order where that applies, and a clear way to request a quote on WhatsApp or email. I check that Google can crawl and index those pages, and that two pages do not compete for the same search.

The closest result I can show for this kind of business is a B2B services firm in North America and the UK, not a Karachi supplier. Merging pages that competed for the same searches grew its clicks by , comparing the last 3 months with the 3 months before. It shows the method, not a Pakistani outcome. The full screenshots and changes are in the business services consolidation case.

If you sell online and ship across Pakistan rather than serving one area, the right page is my work for online stores that ship nationwide.

WhatsApp, Roman Urdu and how leads arrive

Most Karachi customers who find a business on Google contact it on WhatsApp, often before they call. The profile's performance report counts taps on the call button, direction requests and website clicks. A chat started from a WhatsApp link on your website is not one of those. So for each branch, I ask the staff who answer WhatsApp to note how a new customer found them, even with a simple tally, for the first months of the work.

Searches mix English and Roman Urdu, sometimes in one query, and Urdu script appears too, as in کراچی میں بیکری. I collect the phrases customers use from three places: your reviews, your WhatsApp questions and Google's suggestions as you type. Then the profile's services list and the branch pages use the same words.

Reply speed matters more than most owners think. A customer who messages three bakeries for a cake order will often go with the first one that answers clearly. That is not a ranking factor, but it decides whether a visit to your profile turns into an order.

What I can show you, and what I cannot

I have no published case for a client in Karachi, or anywhere in Pakistan. The B2B result is described above, and the local one is here. My clearest Map Pack result is for an electrician in New Orleans, whose average rank across a geo-grid moved from . The before and after grids are centred on different parts of that city, so the comparison is indicative, not like for like.

Both cases are outside Pakistan. I show them because Google applies the same rules in Karachi, and the method of fixing profiles, listings and pages does not change. The grids are in the electrician's before and after grids. Ask to see them on a screen share before you decide.

Prices in rupees, the same as in every city

OptionPriceBest when
Strategy callPKR 15,000 per hourYou want a remote second opinion on your profiles, your agency or your plan
Business Profile setup and optimizationPKR 45,000 one time, done in 3 to 5 business daysOne branch or one kitchen needs a profile built or fixed
Local and growth starterPKR 85,000 per monthA single location business wants the profile, listings, reviews routine and pages handled monthly
Commercial growth retainerPKR 150,000 per monthA supplier, chain or online store needs website and content work beyond the map

The starter plan is priced for one location. A business with several branches needs more time per month, mostly for the listings and branch pages, so I quote it after the first week's audit. Details of every plan are on monthly plans for single and multi branch work. If you only want the profiles looked after, branch profiles looked after month by month is a smaller option.

Where this fits with my other pages

If you need the complete local job, with every branch and its pages, it is local work for every branch you run. If one of your branches has vanished, start with a branch that is missing from the map. If Google has suspended a branch, read what to do when a branch is suspended before you edit anything.

Businesses that prefer to meet face to face can read about where I work face to face in Lahore. My notes on how search differs in Islamabad cover the capital. For work that is not tied to one city, see my main page for clients nationwide.

Frequently asked questions

Can you work with a Karachi business from Pakpattan?

Yes. The work does not need an SEO expert in Karachi itself. Profiles, listings and websites can all be handled remotely. You add me as a manager, your staff send photos and a short video of each branch, and we use calls, WhatsApp and screen share. What I cannot do is visit the shop each month.

What does SEO cost for a Karachi business?

The same as anywhere in Pakistan. A one hour strategy call is PKR 15,000, a one time profile setup and optimization is PKR 45,000, and the monthly local starter is PKR 85,000 for one location. Several branches cost more, and I quote after the audit.

How should a business with several branches set up Google Maps?

One profile per branch that customers can visit, the same real name on each, and the same main category. Give each branch its own phone number where possible and its own page on the website. Mark closed branches as closed instead of leaving them open.

I run a home kitchen. Should my address show on the map?

No. A delivery only food business should hide its address and set a service area. Google also expects its own branding and website. If customers pick up from your kitchen, the address can show, but only with permanent signage there.

Which is better for a Karachi business, SEO or Google Ads?

They do different jobs. Ads appear in labelled spots and stop when you stop paying. SEO builds visibility that lasts, but it takes months. Google says there is no way to pay for a better position on the map, so ads do not lift your profile.

Has AI replaced SEO?

No. AI answers in Google and in chat tools still draw on websites they can read. Clear pages that answer buyers' questions help in both places. If you want to know whether your business shows up in those answers, I cover that on my page about businesses missing from AI answers.

Can I do the basics myself?

Yes. Use the real name on your sign, pick the most specific category, put the pin on the door, add photos and reply to every review. For a chain, do the same on each branch. Bring in help when rivals still sit above you in your own area.

Do you work in Urdu?

Yes. We can talk in Urdu or English, and I write profile services and website copy in the words your customers use, including Roman Urdu where it fits.

Can you promise the top three on the map?

No. Google decides local results. I can promise the work, the order it happens in, and an honest report, by branch, of what moved and what did not.
